Breast Cancer? You Must Be Joking!

I’m Vanessa and this is me, on Thursday, August 17th  2017.  I was full of optimism and ready to start dating, following the death of my husband, from kidney cancer, three years earlier.   Six weeks later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Why blue tits and red tears?  Well, as many of you will already know, blue dye is injected into the breast, at the time of surgery for breast cancer, in order to reveal if the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes.   Your breast is then, temporarily, a glorious shade of blue/turquoise.  If you have, the aptly named, FEC chemotherapy, your tears can be red.
